2007 Men's Soccer Outlook
The 2007 season represents a new beginning for the Tri-State University men’s soccer program. Coach Hazard implemented his system last season, familiarizing his players with his expectations, and he has recruited a tremendous freshman class. In 2007, the TSU men’s soccer program looks to shock the powers of the MIAA. Hazard is looking forward to creating a winning environment with the men’s soccer team. MORE >>

The Tri-State University men’s soccer team fought to a 0-0 tie with the Kalamazoo Hornets. The Thunder defense held strong behind Peter Gorka’s (North Rocheser, Ind./Chesteron)12 saves. 10.27 / TSU Men’s Soccer Defeated by Hope College
The Tri-State University men’s soccer team was defeated 5-1 on Saturday at Hope College. The Flying Dutchmen scored on a penalty kick late in the first period to take a 2-0 halftime lead. The Thunder quickly gained momentum in the second period as Rudy Cantrell (Justin, Texas/Northwest) scored on an unassisted goal at the 46 minute mark. The Tri-State University men’s soccer team scored two unanswered goals in the second half to defeated Adrian College 3-2 in MIAA action. TSU scored first with an unassisted goal by Justin Dow (Dewitt, Mich./Dewitt) in the 31st minute. MORE >>

The Tri-State University men’s soccer team fell to Albion College 4-0 in MIAA play. The Britons scored their first goal in the 14th minute. TSU fought to a 1-0 deficit at the break before Albion erupted for three goals in the second half. MORE >>

The Tri-State University men’s soccer team fell to Alma College 2-0 in MIAA action. The teams battled to a scoreless tie at the half before the Scots put two goals through the net in the second half. TSU held a 15-11 shots-on-goal advantage but could not find the back of the net. MORE >>

The Tri-State University men’s soccer team came up short against Olivet College. The Thunder outscored the Comets 1-0 in the second period but it was not enough to overcome two first period goals. The Tri-State University men’s soccer team dropped an MIAA contest 2-1 at the hands of Hope College. The game remained scoreless for the first 70 minutes when the Flying Dutchmen scored the first goal. Hope added the game-winning goal one minute later to take a 2-0 lead. MORE >>

The Tri-State University men’s soccer team picked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 shutout at Adrian College. TSU scored both goals early in the game and let their defense seal the victory in the second half. MORE >>

The Tri-State University men’s soccer team lost an evenly matched MIAA contest against the visiting Britons of Albion College. The stats were almost identical with both teams recording nine shots-on-goal and four corner kicks. The Tri-State University men’s soccer team had multiple opportunities to score but could not find the back of the net as they surrendered to a 0-0 double overtime tie with the visitng Scots from Alma College. The Thunder held a 25-16 shot advantage but could not put a score on the board. MORE >>

The Tri-State University men’s soccer team opened MIAA play at Olivet College. The host Comets took a 5-2 victory over the Thunder. Olivet took command of the game early with a goal in the seventh minute and held a 2-0 advantage at the break. MORE >>

The Tri-State University men’s soccer team fell to Case Western Reserve University 2-0. Case was recently ranked #5 in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Case defense stuck tight as they allowed on one TSU shot on goal in the game. Peter Gorka (North Rochester, Ind./Chesterton) kept the game within reach for the Thunder with seven saves. MORE >>
09.09 / Heartbreak Continues for TSU Men’s Soccer
The Tri-State University men’s soccer team lost their second consecutive game in heartbreaking fashion as Otterbein escaped with a 2-1 victory in the Ralph Ketner Classic. TSU tied the game at one in the 52nd minute. Otterbein scored the game-winning goal with five minutes left. The Tri-State University men’s soccer team opened up play in the two-day Ralph Ketner Classic at TSU. Game one of the day featured Goshen College against Otterbein College. Otterbein picked up a 3-2 victory over the Maple Leafs. TSU dropped a hard-fought battle to Heidelberg 2-1 in the second game of the day. MORE >>
