The Thunder women’s lacrosse team came out firing, but it wasn’t enough as the Bulldogs defeated Tri-State 11-6 on the Adrian College campus in Adrian, Michigan. Brittany Witkiewicz (Orland Hills, Ill./Victor S. Andrews) got the Thunder on the board first at 26:23 left in the first half. The TSU women’s lacrosse team played a strong first half, but it wasn’t enough as Medaille College defeated the Thunder 14-8 on Saturday at Nichols School. The Medaille College Mavericks and the Thunder exchanged goals for the first half as Kayla Grieser (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) scored two for the Thunder, while Samantha Kumfer (Columbia City, Ind./Columbia City) added the first goal of her career to make it 3-2 before the Mavericks struck again, making it 3-3. For the first time this season, the Thunder women’s lacrosse team was unable to get on the board, falling to SUNY Fredonia. The Tri-State University women's lacrosse team struggled with possession as the Seton Hill Griffins rolled out to a 16-2 victory on Saturday at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The Griffins scored six and 22 seconds into the game to start off with an early 2-0 lead.
