Tri-State University senior forward Jackie Havenaar (Plainwell, Mich./Kalamazoo Christian) was selected as a member of the All-MIAA second team. Despite a final record of 0-15-2 overall and 0-8 in MIAA play, Havenaar finished 15th in the MIAA in scoring with seven points. The Tri-State University women’s soccer team held a 1-0 halftime lead but could not hold on as they fell to Defiance College 4-2 in non-conference action. TSU held a 1-0 halftime lead despite being outshot 12-6 in the first half. Megan Zieles (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) had eight saves in the first half. MORE >>

The Tri-State University women’s soccer team suffered an 8-0 loss at the hands of MIAA rival Alma College. The Scots held a 4-0 lead at the break and added four more goals in the second period. The Tri-State University women’s soccer team fell to Calvin College 13-1. Calvin dominated the offense with a 34-1 shot-on-goal advantage. Calvin scored early and often as they put their first goal on the board in the 14th minute and held a 6-0 lead at halftime.
